The University awarded a contract for financial modules from Thomson Reuters to Thomson Reuters Inc., Carlsbad, CA, for an estimated $65,000.
Continual subscriber access to four Thomson Reuters modules namely: SDC Platinumâ?¢ ; I/B/E/S; Mutual Fund Ownership and DataStream Professional for College of Business student instructional education classes.
Thomson Reuters does the footwork to create these integrated applications and licenses into the proprietary stream of data that is unique to any other professional profile. The students can access and download the modules to complete their homework assignments, prepare for examinations and perform various research projects.
The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the procurement is software license, upgrade or maintenance.
