The University awarded a contract for pediatric cardiology services.
Pediatric Cardiology Services- Pediatric interventional cardiology services under the provision of Dr. Alexander Jovois. The contract will enhance the clinical aspects of the Department of Pediatrics by increasing access to care for Pediatric Cardiology patients.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This contract enhances the clinical aspects of the Department of Pediatric by increasing access to care for Pediatric Cardiology patients. There is a positive impact on the department and College of Medicine by obtaining clinical resources collaboratively while expanding our patient base.
