The University awarded a contract for Voluson E10 ultrasound.
Voluson E10 is an ultrasound machine used in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Women?s Health environments.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) The Voluson E10 is the premier maternal medicine/ women?s health ultrasound machine. All eight of UIC?s Women?s Health systems are either Voluson E8 or Voluson E10 which allows for standardization of equipment to help improve workflow.
