The University requires a continuation of the Emergency Purchase for food service sanitation laborers. The awarding of RFP EWM141 to Aramark Healthcare for the Hospital Dining Services and the announcement to the Hospital's nutritional services staff, the news has caused issues with the cafeteria staff. Employees have either begun to abuse their benefit time, such as calling in sick (FMLA), requesting long extended vacation time, or are finding work elsewhere. It has left the department scrambling to find persons to fill those empty spots. The Impact Group, LLC has been able to fill those vacant positions while the Hospital transitions to the new vendor. We require additional funding to continue to provide dietary services to the patients and staff.
The Hearing date for the extension has been scheduled for Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 9:00 am Central Time.
