The University awarded a contract for software maintenance and support for modules to BD, Carefusions Solutions, LLC, Birmingham, AL, for an estimated $158,847.
The software license and maintenance services are comprehensive services that allow UI Health to focus their efforts on targeted process improvement and patient outcomes through automated surveillance rather than manually searching for opportunities to improve. Through the use of these tools, clinicians will be able to perform automated surveillance across all units and clinics for all infection types, be pro-actively alerted of impending issues, automate the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) mandatory reporting of Health Impact Assessment (HIA), and utilize advanced analytics technology to be pro-actively notified of statistically significant clinically relevant changes within both the inpatient and outpatient populations.
The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the procurement is software license, upgrade or maintenance.
