This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This ultrasound system calculates velocity time integral (VTI) and cardiac output (CO) in one simple step with Auto VTI function. The VTI trending function helps clinicians quickly visualise the trend to determine the next course of action with 82% time savings. This system has a Auto B-line tool, this tool calculates the overall lung score by highlighting and counting B-lines in real time. Study found the tool to be comparable and equally reliable as visual counting performed by experts. The Auto Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) function measures IVC diameter and collapsibility index accurately and automatically. Study found that the Auto IVC measures were equivalent to an expert users results in 90% for minimal diameter and 97% for maximal diameter. The eFAST Tool assess and document patient status by mapping key organs/areas of the body. This reduces operator steps by 80% compared to traditional eFAST examinations.
