The University awarded a contract for UroLift Implant System from NeoTract Inc. to NeoTract, Incorporated, Pleasanton, CA, for an estimated $360,000.
Purchase NeoTract's UroLift as it's a minimally invasive approach to treating BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) that lifts or holds the enlarged prostate tissue out of the way so it no longer blocks the urethra.

Networking and collaborative efforts by the surgeons has resulted in the conclusion that only the Neotract Urolift has a minimally invasive device that fulfill the surgeon's specification. No other alternative is available in the marketplace.

The Neotract UroLift Delivery Device is the only device of its kind configured to conduct this type of procedure. The NeoTract UroLift delivers the UroLift Implant assemblies within a patient's body. One portion of the UroLift Implant assembly is positioned and implanted against the first section of the prostate. A second portion of the UroLift Implant assembly is then positioned and implanted adjacent to the second section of the prostate for the purpose of retracting, lifting, compressing, supporting, or repositioning the second section of the prostate with respect to the first section of the prostate. Once both UroLift Implants are in place, tension is given to each UroLift Implant to the desired level of retraction.
The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the item or service is copyrighted or patented and is not available except from the holder of the copyright or patent.
