The University awarded a contract for RevBuilder services by AcuStream to AcuStream Inc., Lafayette, CO, for an estimated $500,000.
his purchase is for continuation of AcuStream, LLC's (AcuStream) RevBuilders, a US patent pending web based service that automates the identification, verification and billing of reimbursable missed charges from historical charge data. RevBuilder uses a patent pending rules-based and predictive analytical engine with algorithms to identify missed and unbilled charges found in existing patient charge data.

Only AcuStream offers this service on a success based model meaning there is no capital expenditure and any payments are solely based on UIC recovering payments making AcuStream's service a cash flow positive exercise. AcuStream also provides auditing services and have already established the required monthly database upgrade to enable the service. Acustream does provide a very unique nitche service that to date does not have any direct competitors.
The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the procurement is software license, upgrade or maintenance.
