The University awarded a contract for medical imaging workstations.
Expansion of Provation Services to the new Outpatient Surgery Center. Provation is a patient care solution used by UI Health GI and Pulmonary Departments that stores clinical images from procedures performed in the GI Lab and provides automated clinical documentation notes based on menu selections in order to provide better patient care outcomes. Provation workstation devices, peripherals, and cameras (attached to workstation) are used to scan and photograph the patient and report out by physicians, nurses, and other specialists to provide care for our patients.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This procurement is needed to provide continuity of care and medical services in the new UI Health Outpatient Surgery Center.
