The University awarded a contract for human cadavers and brains to Anatomical Gift Association, Chicago, IL, for an estimated $121,740.
This purchase is only economically available from a single source because the Anatomical Gift Association is a chartered non-profit organization set up to provide cadavers to medical institutions in Illinois . The Board of Directors is comprised of faculty members from medical schools in Chicago, including the University of Illinois at Chicago. The cadavers and brains will be used in teaching anatomy and cell biology.
