The University awarded a contract for removal of water damage .

University of Illinois at Chicago awarded a contract for labor, material and cleaning services to remove water damage in the amount of $132,888.94 on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 . Broken sprinkler caused extensive water on six floors. Immediate action was needed to remove water, replace carpeting, floor tiles, plasterboard, and repaint damaged areas. This emergency/quick purchase was required due to a situation in which immediate repairs were needed to prevent further loss or damage to University property.
