The University awarded a contract for an diesel fuel powered emergency generator.
This emergency/quick purchase was required due to a situation in which public health or safety was threatened.
This emergency repair of a diesel fuel powered emergency generator housed in the University's West Campus Central Cooling Plant provided critical backup electrical power to life safety systems to the University of Illinois Medical Center, as well as other West Campus Medical Center buildings. The emergency repair service is required due to coolant contamination, which caused the unit to be inoperative. This firm will also dispose of all old coolant and oil in accordance with EPA guidelines.
