The University awarded a contract for the overhaul and replacement of turbine generator .
This emergency/quick purchase was required due to a situation in which
immediate repairs were needed to prevent further loss or damage to University property.
Also, this purchase is needed to minimize serious disruption in State services, ensure public health and safety at the University Steam Plant as well as other West Campus Medical Center buildings including Rush University Medical Center.
