The University awarded a contract for Northwestern Memorial Hospital community CPR .
A private grant in conjunction with the Illinois Heart Rescue Project funded an expert CPR community leader, Aida Maisonet Giachello, Professor, Department of Preventive Medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. In addition, Aida Maisonet Giachello is the Co Principal Investigator of the Hispanic Community Health Study (HCHS).
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes in the procurement code because
the procurement expenditures are for events or activities paid for exclusively by revenues generated by the event or activity, gifts, or donations for the event or activity, private grants, or any combination thereof.
