The University awarded a contract for Commonwealth Edison electricity supply.
This emergency/quick purchase was required due to a situation in which immediate action was needed to prevent any disruption in University services.
There is a need for the continual commodity purchase of electricity for the UIC campus buildings and power plants by the existing authorized supplier, Commonwealth Edison. University of Illinois Utilities management is evaluating electricity supply sourcing methods, including the State of Illinois CMS master contract # CMP7189350 and/or solicitation of a Bid. An extension will be needed until the sourcing method is chosen and a solicitation (if needed) can be completed
