The University awarded a contract for ruptured pipe repair or replace services.
This emergency/quick purchase was required due to a situation in which
immediate action was needed to prevent any disruption in University services.
The UIC building at Halsted and Harrison suffered loss of hot water and heat due to an underground rupture of a high temperature line. Since Anchor Mechanical is well versed with this type of piping and suited for the total project this vendor had to be brought in to assist in excavating the area to first find the ruptured pipe, then repair it or replace it and restore back to operation
