The University awarded a contract for participation in Project Boost.
University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UIHHSS) has been selected to participate in Project BOOST with 100% funding from Blue Cross Blue Shield. Project BOOST has mandated that Northwest University direct the project.

Project BOOST is led by a national advisory board of recognized leaders in care transitions, hospital medicine, payers and regulatory agencies. The board includes representatives from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), BlueCross and BlueShield (BCBS)Association, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Institute for Health Care Improvement (IHI), The Joint Commission, and Kaiser Permanente. Medical, pharmacy and nursing professional societies, and patient advocates participate and contribute to Project BOOST’s development
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes in the procurement code because the procurement expenditures are for events or activities for which the use of specific vendors is mandated or identified by the sponsor of the event or activity, provided that the sponsor is providing a majority of the funding for the event or activity.
