The College of Pharmacy Researcher will utilize Nexcelom's Celigo Imaging Cytomer with 5 Channels as it is essential to the campus wide drug discovery effort. At least 6 research groups and associated trainees were involved in the demo testing of this demo unit on December 12-13, 2016. Drug discovery requires reproducible and rapid assays of biological test systems. This instrument is essential for the cell based assays without which the university cannot develop new therapeutics. The instrument will be made available to all college and UI Centre associated faculty. No instrument has the same variety of measurement nodes in a single instrument.
