The University awarded a contract for a LOGIQ E10s premium ultrasound imaging system.
The LOGIQ E10s is GEs premium ultrasound imaging system designed for abdominal, vascular, obstetric, gynecologic, neonatal, pediatric, urological, transcranial, cardiac and small parts applications. GE extended the highest discount at 67 percent. This discount is good through 2/10/2023.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) UI Health standardized with GE for compatibility of equipment and ease of use.
The new LOGIQ E10s has currently the best technology to better serve the hospital's patient population.
