This emergency/quick purchase was required due to a situation in which items available on the spot market or at discounted prices were available for a limited time such that sound business judgment mandated a purchase immediately to take advantage of the availability and price.
The Hospital has an opportunity to acquire the newest surgical robotic technology with substantial savings offered for a limited time through September 30, 2017 valued at $207,400 off list price. This offer is only valid if vendor can receive order by September 30, 2017 that includes robot, supplies and a four year maintenance and support commitment.
