The University awarded a contract for pool and spa repair.
This emergency/quick purchase was required due to a situation in which public health or safety was threatened.
There's damage that was caused over time to the tiles due to cleaning processes and the general physical environment of a spa/pool space. This lead to the sudden decay of several sections of the tiles breaking into pieces and required the spa area to be closed off from use, to prevent students, faculty and staff from sustaining injuries. In addition, the pool area had to close to prevent further damage to the substrate of the bottom of the spa in the pool area.
