The University awarded a contract for IHA membership.
This membership is for information access and other services/participation benefits in conjunction with ongoing membership in American Hospital Association (AHA), payable to the state associate affiliation, Illinois Hospital Association (IHA), and membership to the Illinois Health and Hospital Association services.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for membership in professional, academic, research, or athletic organizations on behalf of a public institution of higher education, an employee of a public institution of higher education, or a student at a public institution of higher education. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(1)) There is only one AHA via the state affiliation through the IHA and the membership benefits are not provided by any other service providers.
