The University awarded a contract for Field Experience for Students.
Field Experience for Students enrolled in KN 494 Qualitative Human Movement Analysis. The course teaches a holistic model of QMD (Qualitative Movement Diagnosis) that integrates knowledge from the fields of kinesiology and allied health. Course activities offer real life examples and practice in QMD in a variety of settings. The course will focus on the processing behind movement observation, assessment and diagnosis. Students learn how to recognize and correct errors in human movement and design a specific QMD model to improve performance. As part of the course, students will travel to the UK. Anglia Ruskin University will provide on site logistical/academic support for a study abroad embedded program run by a faculty from UIC Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for events or activities for which the use of specific potential contractors is mandated or identified by the sponsor of the event or activity, provided that the sponsor is providing a majority of the funding for the event or activity. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(3)) Anglia Ruskin University offers high quality services. UIC students and faculty will benefit from this collaboration.
