The Millennium's services for mental health and wellness monthly cost averaged $8,333, but as FY22 progressed the usage is averaging $14,000 per month. We see this increased usage rate continuing through FY23 and FY24.

Sports performance, mental health and psychological services for UIC student-athletes, coaches & staff.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical at a university-operated health care center or dispensary that provides care, treatment, and medications for students, faculty and staff (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) Mental health is as important as ever for young people these days, including student-athletes. The counseling provided to UIC athletes was extremely helpful in all aspects, including COVID related items such as depression, isolation, quarantine, online class management, saliva testing, etc.
