The University awarded a contract for Outreach for ComEd Energy Efficiency Program.
The vendor will work as Outreach Service Provider for the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program in the K-12 Schools sector. The ComEd Energy Efficiency Program comes as a result of the Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA) that has the goal of creating clean energy jobs, consumer and environmental benefits, accelerating the growth of solar and wind energy and expanding energy efficiency.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for events or activities paid for exclusively by revenues generated by the event or activity, gifts, or donations for the event or activity, private grants, or any combination thereof. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(2)) This purchase will allow the UIC-Energy Resources Center (ERC's) Team to better focus on its part of the segment and all other program management activities.
