Nerve Monitoring System - This Nerve Monitoring System provides detailed intraoperative nerve condition information to inspire surgical strategy and help improve patient outcome. The Nerve Monitoring System enables nerve condition tracking throughout a procedure, even when using intermittent nerve monitoring.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This equipment is used directly on patients to provide real-time feedback on nerve function so you can adjust course, if necessary, during thyroid surgery and other procedures affecting head and neck nerves.
