Change Order
Published Tuesday February 14, 2012
Vendor: Integra Lifesciences Corp
Change Order Amount: $220,000

The purpose of this announcement is to modify the amount estimated at the beginning of the term.

The University awarded a contract for collagen matrix grafts beginning on 7/21/11 for a two year period in the estimated amount of $880,420. That amount was estimated based on historic expenditures.

Actual expenditures are never 100% predictable because they vary as a function of patient volume or number of surgical cases or surgeon preference.

Actual expenditures for fiscal year 2012 to-date have increased as the number of surgical cases has increased and the surgeon preference for this product has also increased. Therefore, based upon the higher rate of surgical cases along with the greater surgeon preference for this product, it is estimated that the recent usage will continue throughout the term.

The Change Order amount represents the FY 12 actual rate of spend through the end of the term.

This procurement is the result of a successful competitive bid. Integra Lifesciences Corporation was the sole responsive and responsible bidder.
The buyer for this procurement is now Joseph Horvath, (312) 996-0591.
The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.
