for supplemental nurse staffing.

The original sealed bid with this same number (KDR-040) was submitted in error. It has been cancelled and replaced with this Request For Proposal. The RFP number will remain the same(KDR-040).

The University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago Office of Nursing Services is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide supplemental nursing services by nursing staff specialists (Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Operating Room Technicians) for the period August 1, 2002 through June 30,2003 with the option to renew for 3 additional one-year periods at the same terms and conditions based on satisfactory performance, continuing need and availability of funds.

The University will hold a pre-proposal conference at 1740 West Taylor Street, Room 1135 (first floor), Chicago, Illinois 60612 from 1:00 P.M. to 3 P.M. CDST on Thursday, April 25, 2002. Representatives of the University will be present to answer any questions regarding the services requested or proposal procedures. Prospective proposers must respond to 312-996-2417 on or before Wednesday, April 24, 2002 with firm name and number of attendees. A maximum of 3 representatives from each firm may attend. During the site visit each proposer shall fully acquaint and familiarize itself with the conditions as they exist and the character of the operation to be carried out under the resulting contract.

This procurement was originally erroneously advertised as a bid. When the error was discovered the actual procurement was done through this RFP. However, the award was mistakenly advertised as being against the bid. Because the award has been advertised several times in the Bulletin, we have cancelled this RFP so this procurement will not continue to show on our reports as unawarded. (Submitted by Thomas L. Gardner, State Purchasing Officer.)
