Comments:
The University is exercising the right to the one remaining option based on its continuing need, availability of funds and cost for the option period. Renewal of this multiple award is required in order to provide the University with the flexibility to select the appropriate firm based upon the specific need. All four firms satisfied the requirements of the RFP and are deemed qualified to provide the necessary services. The actual amount spent with each firm will vary depending upon University need and their ability to provide the type of services required by the University. Annual expenditures with each firm will not exceed $249,999.99.
The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.

The University of Illinois on behalf of the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Health Affairs is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide general academic healthcare consulting for the period beginning on or about July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004 with the option to renew for 3 additional twelve month periods at the same terms and conditions based on satisfactory performance, continuing need and availability of funds.

The goal of the University is to have a group of qualified firms that have been selected through this RFP process to provide services as they arise. The selected firms could provide general academic healthcare consulting services in the following areas: Program Review/Financial Modeling, Facilities Planning, Faculty Practice Productivity Evaluation, Off-Site Practice/Affiliation Development, Data Collection/Analysis, Development/Fundraising, Marketing/Public Relations and Clinician Faculty/Staff Development.

A pre-proposal conference will be held at the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago, 1740 West Taylor, at 11:00 am on June 4, 2003 in Room 1135. Representatives of the University will be present to answer any questions regarding the services requested or proposal procedures. Prospective Proposers must respond to Kent Roberts via e-mail at kroberts@uillinois.edu or 312-996-2850 on or before June 3, 2003 with firm?s name and number of attendees. A maximum of 2 representatives from each firm may attend (Submitted by Thomas L. Gardner, State Purchasing Officer.)
