The University of Illinois at Chicago on behalf of UI Health is planning to implement an automated patient acuity system to replace its current manual tool. We are seeking information on the industry standard for proven systems that promote equitable nurse patient assignments and patient safety. Specifically, the University is seeking input on key requirements and specifications along with strategies and approaches that lead to successful implementation, in a manner that is compliant with the Illinois Nurse Staffing by Patient Acuity Act.
