Comments:
The scope of this RFP was to retain the services from qualified firms to provide American Sign Language (ASL) Interpretation, Captioning, and Audio Description services to the campus at UIC. Specifically, proposals were requested for services in the following five areas: Group 1 - On-site Real-time Captioning Services; Group 2 - Remote Captioning Services; Group 3 - Print/Type Well Services; Group 4 - American Sign Language Interpretation; and Group 5 - Audio Description Services. No responses were received for Groups 1,3, or 5. One response was received for Group 2 from Classroom Captioning and is not recommended for award; three (3) responses were received for Group 4 - Lester and Rosalie Anixter Center (Anixter), CAIRS, and Quintana, Inc.. Anixter and CAIRS are recommended for award for Group 4. Proposals will be formally re-solicited for Groups 1,2,3 and 5 at a later date. Please see Attachment A below for the BEP Utilization Summary.
