The University awarded a contract for a WIN AD Subscription Database Service.
WIN AD is a subscription database service for college athletics leaders to increase revenue and save money. The database tracks the data needed to make comparisons on salaries and contract information, budget information, marketing information, etc.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for athletic, artistic or musical services, performances, events, or productions by or for a public institution of higher education. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(4)) Without access to this database, we will be at a competitive disadvantage in our conference and in the NCAA for our teams and have a significant Human Resources (HR) disadvantage in terms of determining pay raises, bonuses, salaries, etc. compared to our peers.
