The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Library Remote Storage Warehouse at the Urbana Campus - REVISED project.
Project Description
This project is for the construction of a multi-phase storage facility primarily for book storage and a small administrative support area. The initial phase will be for approximately 29,000 gsf. to support one million volumes of books. Future phases will complete the build-out and total seven million volumes of book storage. The site is campus-owned and in Champaign, Illinois. The project will follow a recently completed Program Analysis and Program Design.
Bid Dates
Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:00 a.m. prevailing time, on February 20, 2003, for Divisions II (Plumbing) - Division VI (Fire Protection) work. Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on February 20, 2003, for Division I (General) work. Submit all proposals to the Board of Trustees at:

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Thursday, February 20, 2003. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held in Conference Room #143 of the Physical Plant Services Building, 1501 S. Oak Street, Champaign, IL, at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on January 7, 2003. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
