The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Allen Hall Traction Elevator replacement project.
Project Description
The project consists of the removal of an existing 5-stop electric traction elevator and replacement in the same shaft with new 5-stop electric traction elevator, doors, motor, drives, controls, etc. Ancillary work includes miscellaneous mechanical, electrical, fire alarm, and communication work.
Bid Proposals
Bids for Division IV (Ventilation) and Division V (Electrical) work will be received up to the hour of 10:00 a.m. prevailing time, on Tuesday, December 17, 2002. Bids for Division I (General) work will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Tuesday, December 17, 2002. Submit all proposals to the Board of Trustees at:

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Tuesday, December 17, 2002. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held in Room #21, Lincoln Ave. Residence Hall, 1005 S. Lincoln Ave., Urbana, IL 61801 at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, December 10, 2002. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
