Description of Project
The College of Education, made up of 250 faculty/staff serving 1,500 students, has been experiencing problems with both space quantity and quality for a number of years. The College is currently spread out across four separate locations (Education Building, Children's Research Center (CRC), Armory, and Colonel Wolfe School) resulting in staff and student isolation, causing operational problems making collaboration difficult at best. While periodic remodeling over those years has addressed some concerns, recent self-assessment has documented existing and projected shortfalls and indicates a comprehensive space study is in order. The consultant will be asked to review and confirm existing and projected programmatic requirements, document the space needs generated from those projections and suggest possible solutions for those needs. The University anticipates completing the study within three months.
