The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Memorial Stadium Football Addition and Remodeling - Bid Package 1 - Structural Steel at the University of Illinois Urbana project.
The project, for which base bids are being taken, consists of the structural steel work to complete the addition of 4,300 SF of meeting room and office space. The work shall include, but not be limited to, all labor, materials, tools, equipment, plant, supplies, shop drawings, layout, transportation, supervision and compliance with appropriate agencies as required, with all other facilities necessary to provide and install structural steel, steel joist, steel deck and associated bridging and reinforcement, with all associated appurtenances. The contractor shall include in his/her bid any/all premium time necessary to complete the work within the time schedule noted and/or implied by this set of documents. The work of this contractor will be administered/coordinated by the project construction manager. This contractor will be required to coordinate his/her work with the other contractors performing work simultaneously on the project.
Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Friday, January 11, 2002, for Division Bid Package I - Structural Steel work. Submit all proposals to:

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Friday, January 11, 2002. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
A pre-bid conference will be held in at Memorial Stadium/Northeast Tower/Locker Room at 10:00 am prevailing time on Thursday, January 3, 2002. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
