The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Campus-Wide Central Chilled Water System - Bid Package 6 building modifications at the Urbana Campus project.

Project Description
The project is to perform required building modifications to connect existing chilled water piping to campus wide chilled water system for 11 different buildings. The scope includes demolition, decommissioning old chilled water pipe, valves, pumps, and cooling towers; installing new chilled water pipe and valves; and adding freeze protection, controls, panels and monitoring systems, and demoltion and install ventilation systems in one building.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Thursday, August 14, 2003. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held at the Physical Plant Services Building, 1501 S. Oak, Champaign, IL 61820, in Room #128 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prevailing time on Thursday, July 31, 2003. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
