Request for Information: Student and Faculty Lounge Feasibility Study

Project Description
The project consists of a feasibility study for the design and construction of a Student/Faculty Center on the second floor of University Hall. The Student/Faculty center includes the enclosure and renovation of approximately 4,600 GSF of exterior second floor space and necessary enclosures of first floor (Lobby Area) and circulation to second floor to facilitate the new space.

The initial contract for this project will be limited to the preparation of a Feasibility Study which must be completed by March 1, 2002.

Should the project proceed, the retained Architect would be considered for completion of the balance of the project.

A/E Submittals
Firms should submit 4 copies of the following: a letter of interest, a copy of its CDB prequalification letter, and a 255 form (use CDB SF 255 dated 7/1/99) by 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2001, addressed to:

Architect/Engineer selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

A/E Qualifications
Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered for selection:

  • Licensed to practice as an architect in the State of Illinois
  • Prequalified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois
  • Utilization of AutoCAD compatible system
