The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Rebecca Port Faculty Student Center, Chicago project.
The project consists of remodeling the first and second floors of University Hall to enclose exterior space and remodel interior space into a lounge/café. Work includes demolition, window wall, new stairs, minor remodeling on the Third Floor, new HVAC and electrical. General (Div. I) work to include Plumbing (Div. II) and Ventilation (Div. IV) work.
Bids for Divisions III and V work will be received up to the hour of 10:00 a.m. prevailing time, on Thursday, May 1, 2003. Bids for Division I work will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Friday, May 2, 2003. Submit all proposals to the Board of Trustees at:

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Friday, May 2, 2003. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
A pre-bid conference will be held in Conference Room 244, 1140 S. Paulina Street, Chicago, Illinois at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, April 22, 2003. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
