The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Cooling Tower at Utilities Building, Chicago project.

Project Description
The project, for which base bids are being taken, consists of furnishing and installing a 2000 ton cooling tower on the roof of the Utilities Center Building at the East Side of the UIC campus. Included are the structural modifications to the building, piping, pumping, controls and electrical installation to provide a fully functional cooling tower.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:00 AM local time, on Wednesday, April 9, 2003. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held in Facilities Management, Physical Plant Building, 1140 South Morgan Street, Conference Room B16E, Chicago, Illinois 60607 at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Monday, March 24, 2003. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
