The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the high temperature hot water (rebid) to Roosevelt Road Building at Chicago project.

Project Description
The project, for which base bids are being taken, consists of extending approximately 600 feet of 6 - preinsulated underground supply and return hot water pipes and 360 feet of 6 - supply and return hot water pipes serving Building 621. In addition, a steam generator shall be installed to replace the two existing boilers to provide heating for the building. Work includes all site work, excavation, pipe installation, electrical work, backfill, restoration of site, and steam generator installation.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:00 AM local time, on Friday, May 17, 2002. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held in the Facilities Management, Physical Plant Building, 1140 South Morgan Street, Conference Room B16, Chicago, Illinois 60607 at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Wednesday, May 8, 2002. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
