Project Description
The project consists of full A/E services for the redesign of the present gallery space, offices, public reception area, lecture and presentation space, small food preparation ad serving area for receptions, general storage and secure storage for art works, and public toilets. MEP services shall include all HVAC, lighting, power and data connections and other mechanical requirements as required for the exhibition of art works. Gallery exhibition area and secure storage to have video surveillance and electronic security system connected to UIC Police. Interior and FFE design services will also be necessary.

Firms should submit 4 copies of the following: a letter of interest, a copy of its CDB prequalification letter, and a 255 form (use CDB SF 255 dated 7/1/99) by 12:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2002, addressed to:

Architect/Engineer selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered for selection:

  • Licensed to practice as an architect in the State of Illinois
  • Prequalified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois
  • Utilization of AutoCAD compatible system
