The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Maxwell Street Police Station - Chicago project.
The project consists of interior remodeling of the (historic) Maxwell Street Police Station, including the construction of a Sallyport addition, rebuild and restore exterior entrances, install new hydraulic elevator, remodel existing basement, provide space for future shooting range, and complete minor sitework related to remodeling.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 11:00 AM local time, on Tuesday, June 6, 2000. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
A pre-bid conference will be held at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Paulina Street Building, Room 244, 1140 South Paulina Street, Chicago, Illinois 60612 at 1:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Wednesday, May 31, 2000. A pre-bid site walk-thru will be held at Maxwell and Morgan Streets at 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on Wednesday, May 31, 2000. Representatives of the owner and architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
