Project Description
The Adaptive Re-use Phase III project is an office and retail building located on Maxwell Street in the UIC South Campus Development Area. The building construction is steel joists, steel beams, and steel columns with masonry load bearing walls on drilled piers. There is a partial basement below a portion of the building and the Maxwell Street face consists of the reconstruction of existing dismantled facades.

Bid Proposals
Separate bids will be received for the University of Illinois at Chicago South Campus Development - Phase III Adaptive Re-use for the following contract divisions up to the hour of 2:00 p.m., prevailing time, on Wednesday, November 20, 2002:
Division IIA - Plumbing
Division IIB - Fire Protection
Division III - Heating, Piping and Refrigeration
Division IV - Ventilation and Air Distribution
Division V - Electrical
Bids for Division I General, will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m., prevailing time, on Friday, November 22, 2002.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Friday, November 22, 2002.Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held at the South Campus Development Team Office, 1401 South Halsted Chicago, IL at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Friday, November 1, 2002. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
