Description of Project
The project consists of the planning and construction of a new Advanced Chemical Technologies Building (ACTB) for the University of Illinois at Chicago. The ACTB is to be located on the east side of the UIC Campus and designed to facilitate the interaction of biology, chemistry and physics research. The primary research disciplines to be housed in the building include: organic chemistry, bio-chemistry, chemical biology, biophysics, physical chemistry, neuroscience, nano-science/material science and laser dynamics. In addition to labs the building will house office, conference and seminar space to support the research activities as well as other lab support and building support components.
Initial commission may be limited, based on planning funds available.
Firms should submit 7 copies of the information described on the Capital Programs website (see below) as well as a letter of interest, a copy of its CDB prequalification letter, and a 255 form (use CDB SF 255 dated 6/25/02) by 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2002 addressed to:
