Project Description
The Retail Bookstore Space Development includes the development of approximately 7,000 gsf of trade book retail space in the Student Apartment Building A project. The design includes sales floor, space for readings and cultural events, coffee shop, back of the house, fixtures and furniture, and other related items. Previous conceptual work has been done by another architect.

AE Submittals
Firms should submit 4 copies of the following:

  • a letter of interest
  • all CDB pre-qualification letters
  • CDB SF 255 (ver. 6/02)
Form 255, section 8, may be modified to include additional relevant project information. The letter of interest should include information regarding the staffing and licensing of all offices, as well as additional information or description of resources supporting the team's qualifications.

AE Minimum Qualifications
Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered for selection:

  • Licensed to practice as an architect in the State of Illinois
  • Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois
  • Utilization of AutoCAD compatible system

Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).
