Request for Information: Student Residential Apartments

Project Description
The project includes the development of approximately 750 beds of student housing in apartment style living arrangements. The buildings will include a variety of unit types, including efficiency, one, two, three and four bedroom units. Other amenities will include meeting, library and classroom space, multi-purpose rooms, TV lounge, computer room, and laundry facilities. The first floor of the residential development will contain shell space for commercial and retail establishments.

Project Area
The buildings will be located in the South Campus Development between Halsted Street and Newberry Street, and 12th Street and Liberty.

Services
The architect will be expected to provide all design and engineering services including but not limited to MEP disciplines, life safety, civil, structural, acoustical, landscaping, and interior design services.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered for selection:

Licensed to practice as an Architect/Engineer in the State of Illinois.
Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board
Business presence in Illinois
Utilization of AutoCAD compatible System


Architect/Engineer selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).(Submitted by Katharine Kral, State Purchasing Officer.)
