The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the South Campus Development - Adaptive Reuse District Phases IA and IB - Chicago Campus project.
The Adaptive Reuse Phase IA & IB Improvements include the rehabilitation/reconstruction of existing buildings and an infill building totaling approximately 50,000 square feet located at 1325, 1335, and 1339 South Halsted Street, 733 W. Maxwell Street, and an infill building at 1330 South Halsted in the UIC South Campus Development Area.
Bid Proposals Bids for Divisions IIA - Plumbing Work; IIB - Fire Protection Work; III - Heating, Piping and Refrigeration Work;IV - Ventilation and Air Distribution Work; and V - Electrical Work will be received up to the hour of 10:30 a.m., prevailing time, on Friday, September 7, 2001.
Bids for Division I - General Work will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m., prevailing time, on Tuesday, September 11, 2001.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
A pre-bid conference will be held at the South Campus Development Office, 1524 South Peoria, 6th Floor - UIC Warehouse I - Chicago, Illinois 60608 at 1:30 p.m. prevailing time on Thursday, August 23, 2001. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
