The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Phase IA Infrastructure Improvements, and Phase IA University Utilities Improvements - CHICAGO project.
The Phase IA Infrastructure Improvements will generally include the rehabilitation/reconstruction of roadways and related sidewalks, landscaping, and underground water and sewer utilities. The roadway work includes the rehabilitation of Maxwell Street from Halsted to Newberry and one block of Newberry extending south from Roosevelt Road.
The University Utilities Improvements Phase IA scope of work includes the extension of services (electrical power, telecommunications, high temperature hot water, and chilled water) to supply the development program in the south campus area.
For the University Utilities Improvements Phase IA , bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 P.M. prevailing time, on Friday, June 16, 2000. For the University Infrastructure Improvements Phase IA, bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 P.M. prevailing time, on Tuesday, June 20, 2000.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Tuesday, June 20, 2000. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
A pre-bid conference will be held at the South Campus Development Office, 1524 South Peoria, 6th Floor - UIC Warehouse I - Chicago, Illinois 60608 at 10:30 A.M. prevailing time on Friday, June 2, 2000. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
