The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Bus Shelters on the East and West Campuses at Chicago.

Project Description
The project consists of, but is not limited to, purchasing and installing 6 bus shelters, including bench and armrest with two display units per side. Relocation as required of existing concrete benches at proposed sites. Requires landscape revisions and restoration as required. All excavation and site preparation as required. Bus shelters to have 4" concrete pad at floor level.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:30 AM local time, on Wednesday, August 8, 2001. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held in the Facilities Management, Physical Plant Building, 1140 South Morgan Street, Conference Room B16, Chicago, Illinois 60607 at 10:30 a.m. prevailing time on Thursday, July 26, 2001. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
